  • Register an online account
  • This account once created will remain valid for future India Design Mark entries
  • On registration, a confirmation mail will be sent on the registered email id
  • Your account will become operational only after clicking the given link in the confirmation mail
  • Now you will have a login id and password and you are ready for submitting your entry
  • You can use the same account for submitting multiple entries
  • You can now access your online account throughout the application process using your login id and password
  • All important announcements, messages, instructions will be released from time to time on the India Design Mark website accessible under your login account

  • Now that you hold an account, you can start filling the application form
  • A blank application format is available in the downloads section for your referral
  • Please keep all the information ready as per the blank application format before you start filling-in the application form
  • Be sure to review categories and sub-categories and choose the most appropriate for your entry.
  • It is essential to mention the right category / sub-category as categories of entry is an important evaluation basis. Please consult with the India Design Mark secretariat if there is any doubt about the category of entry.

  • You need to upload 6 different images of your entry.
  • Please remember that the first stage process of qualification of entries will be done online and the jury members will be making crucial decision based on uploaded images. So ensure that the uploaded images show the product and its unique features distinctively
  • The image orientation must be horizontal (landscape format)
  • The image file format has to be JPG
  • Perspective should be used to highlight the scale of the product and add dynamism.
  • Avoid flat frontal views
  • The images should be evenly lit, bright and clear
  • Flash lighting, which illuminates the product unevenly, should not be used.
  • All the important facets of the products should be visible
  • Preferably the photograph should be a cutout of the product, which appears on a white background.
  • Use shadows or reflection to add dimension and sense of space to an image.
  • Full bleed images should be used only if it is necessary to show the environment / surroundings or context of the product. If such a requirement arises use a background, which is uncluttered and minimal.
  • Do not use dark / unclear images.
  • Do not use close crops of images where scale is not clear.
  • The photo should be in 300 dpi resolution
  • The size of the photo should not be smaller than 10 inches by 10 inches
  • The photo preferably should be in square proportion.

  FINAL SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION Read More>>
  • You must make the final submission on or before the prescribed last date
  • Before making final submission you can edit your application and change uploaded images, any number of times
  • Once the final submission is made, you would not be allowed to change anything in your application
  • So before the final submission, confirm all the information entered by you in the application form
  • All applications must be confirmed by the last date of submission. To do so, confirm all previously entered information and submit your entry by clicking “Apply”
  • Please note that your application can be cancelled at any time prior to the application last date

  PAYMENT FOR STAGE 1 ASSESSMENT Read More>>
  • Final submission of the application will generate an invoice for payment of application fees. The invoice carries details pertaining to mode of payment. Modes of payment are also available in section 7 of your online application form.
  • You need to make the payment towards application fees
  • Without payment of application fees, your application will not be considered.
  • The last date for making the payment is also the last date of submitting the application.
  • The payment once made is not refundable under any circumstances
  • Payment could be made through following modes
